Inspire produced a national Roadshow tour for not for profit organisation GenerationOne to engage 36 local communities around Australia. A coach bearing the GenerationOne logo and hand print icons acted as a mobile billboard as it crossed through Australia’s red centre and back again over 8 weeks – collecting over 5,500 pledges for support of “Generation for change”.
The National Roadshow was led by key advocates of the movement such as Tania Major, Indigenous woman and former Young Australian of the Year as well as founder Andrew Forrest, whose commitment to change inspired individuals around the country to pledge their support. Supporters registered to be included in the future of the movement on hand shaped cards, continuing to ‘put their hands up’ for GenerationOne.
Inspire also developed and executed live Stage Events in five capital cities; featuring musical and dance performances from Melinda Schnider, BrothaBlack, the Australian Girls Youth Choir and local Indigenous performing artists.
The aim of the National Roadshow campaign was not only to introduce the GenerationOne movement to regional and metropolitan communities alike, but to engage local media around the county and raise issues relevant to each community. Each activation site Inspire selected included a dense indigenous population and close proximity to communities that are already working to promote Indigenous employment and education.
The grass-roots approach to engagement employed by Inspire proved extremely successful for GenerationOne, allowing local communities to interact with the movement and individuals, from Canberra to Carnarvon, to pledge their support the movement for change.
CORPORATE EVENTS
Business Breakfast Meetings
In conjunction with the Roadshow tour, Inspire developed a series of five Business Breakfast meetings for GenerationOne to connect with prominent members of the corporate community around the country. The highlight of this campaign was the Perth event, where an address from special guest, philanthropist Sir Bob Geldof captured the nation’s support for the GenerationOne movement. Inspire worked to create the seamless execution of the technical and logistical aspects of each event, from 100 delegates for an informal introduction in Canberra to 500 guests attending a seated breakfast banquet in Perth.
INSPIRE’S GENERATIONONE LAUNCH CAMPAIGN
