The worldwide excitement surrounding the launch of the Gibson Dark Fire has arrived in Sydney, Australia, with images of the groundbreaking new guitar projected onto prominent Sydney landmarks including the biggest one of all ? the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The Dark Fire image was projected on to the side of buildings in the city’s center along busy Liverpool and Oxford streets, causing excitement throughout the city.

The Gibson Dark Fire is the world’s most technically advanced guitar in the history of musical instruments and is set to become the most-wanted product this Christmas.

The self-tuning Dark Fire guitar will be available worldwide in limited quantities of only 2,000. Once the guitars are sold, they will not be reproduced.

The innovative guitar can automatically tune itself in multiple tune settings in less than one second and comes with a box that acts as the high quality studio preamp and a full interface to a computer using a firewire port.

The Gibson Dark Fire guitar is released domestically in the U.S. on Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at select Gibson Guitar dealers and internationally on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008
